    Good morning!

This week we are going to start adding and subtracting fractions. This topic is normally a pretty easy topic IF students understand how to find common denominators as needed. Please encourage your child to study nightly & to practice their worksheets that we do in class daily.  We have also started studying for the Georgia Milestones that are coming up very very soon! We do a review center each day so the kids can have a quick review of previous taught content.

    Thanks for your support!

Module Five Topic D Quiz will be on Friday!

Grade 4 Module 5: Fraction Equivalence, Ordering, and Operations

In this 40-day module, students build on their Grade 3 work with unit fractions as they explore fraction equivalence and extend this understanding to mixed numbers.  This leads to the comparison of fractions and mixed numbers and the representation of both in a variety of models.  Benchmark fractions play an important part in students’ ability to generalize and reason about relative fraction and mixed number sizes.  Students then have the opportunity to apply what they know to be true for whole number operations to the new concepts of fraction and mixed number operations

Classroom Rules and Procedures

Group Procedures.docx

Be RESPECTFUL of each student.
Our classroom is set up into groups so everyone can work together, although sometimes we will have times to work alone.
You may use Mrs. McLamb's materials, but all materials must be placed back in its correct spot at the end of each class period.
We will have group jobs that will be established the first week of school- so I will be looking for great leaders and role models!
